⬆️ 🔤 Importing Typography Variables

Current Behaviour

I gave it a run and this is what I’ve made a note of:

Variables that I have imported

  • fontFamily

  • fontWeight; aliases not numeric values

  • fontSizes

  • lineHeights

  1. Test 1 - Convert numbers to dimensions

  • fontSize and lineHeight variables are imported into the 'Dimension' type.

  • fontFamily and fontWeight variables are imported into the 'Text' type.

  1. Test 2 - Use rem for dimension values

  • Sizes and Heights are imported into the 'Number' type.

  • Families and Weights are imported into the 'Text' type.

  1. Test 3 - If neither of the options above are selected, the plugin by default imports them following Test 2 “Use rem for dimension values”.

fontWeights with Numeric Values

  1. Test 4 - Convert numbers to dimensions

  • Weights with numeric values are imported into the Dimension type

  1. Test 5 - Use rem for dimension values

  • Weights with numeric values are imported into the Number type

I Was also wondering how this would work for users who want the text variables imported into let’s say the fontFamily, fontWeight, lineHeight and the other respective types.

Also to Consider

Wondering about exporting with folks who use responsive vales (percentage) and that unit gets dropped when exporting so 4% becomes 4 pixels.
